Perse Girls is a leading UK independent girls' day school situated in the heart of Cambridge. Founded in 1881, the School provides an education where girls can thrive in a lively and dynamic environment that fosters enthusiasm, initiative and self-belief. This ethos is summed up by the current Headmistress, Tricia Kelleher, "For girls that are bright, enquiring and individual, the School offers a unique environment. Whether in academic studies or extra curricular-activities, Perse girls are given the freedom to achieve. We understand the special way in which girls learn and our teaching style and pastoral care really help them gain confidence and excel".

Academic excellence is underpinned by excellent pastoral care; every girl is encouraged to discover her individual strengths, to develop confidence in her ability, to be daring, and to strive to reach her personal best.

A new Hall and Dining Room was opened in January 2008, alongside a new Learning Resource Centre at the Senior School. A new Visual Arts was completed in September 2008. Sixth form studies take place at the Stephen Perse Sixth Form College. This new facility is leading the way amongst Cambridge independent schools by offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme alongside A Levels at the new, coeducational college. The College achieved IB World School status in 2007.
