Bursaries & scholarships:

The King's School Ely believes that it has a duty to ensure the continuation of excellence in the School by the designation of awards to talented pupils. Such awards are restricted to 25% of tuition fees. Academic Scholarships are awarded to pupils aged between 13.0 and 13.11 years, of high academic promise who would benefit from the opportunity of attending The King's School, and who could contribute to the academic and general life of the School.

Specialist scholarships are also available in Music, Art, Drama, Design & Technology and Sports.

Bursary support is available to new pupils over the age of 11 whose parents are unable to pay the full tuition fee.

Entry requirements & test dates:

For candidates from outside the School, entry to the Senior School is normally through the 13+ entrance examination. This is held at the end of January for entry to Year 9 the following September and is linked to National Curriculum Key Stage 3. Some candidates are admitted on the basis of Common Entrance.
